Student of the Month October 2018

Student of The Month Awards for October 2018

Junior Belt Adult and Child 10th Kup White Belt to 5th Kup Green Belt

Junior Belt Adult Winner : Elizabeth Lloyd-Wilson 10th Kup

This young lady only started lessons in October 2018 but has taken advantage of the FREE Trial One Month offer for ALL NEW beginners to its full benefit. Grabbing Tar Kwon Do by the scruff of the neck and already learning higher syllabus. Not only picking up Tae Kwon Do skills really quickly but excelling at it. You can always learn from all in students and Instructors alike in Tae Kwon Do and Elizabeth has shown so much determination and perseverance; well done and well deserved. Elizabeth also trained an amazing 27 Hours and 30 minutes in October 2018. That in itself is a record for a new beginner!

Junior Belt Child Winner : Lucas Lloyd 8th Kup

Lucas is only 7 and just completed the Cresta Run with his brother Ben. They both try much harder in lessons now compared to when they first started. Lucas has earnt the nickname Lucas 'reaction arm' because he rarely used it. This is changing and he really is better on his Korean than one of our Black Belts. He put Richard Troughton to shame with 3 yellow belt Q's in Monday's lesson. His Halloween outfit was not to bad; Lucas's was not to bad either. Keep it up young man...

Senior Belt Adult and Child 4th Kup to Black Belt

Senior Belt Child Winner : Benjamin Coe 1st Dan

Ben has just passed his Black Belt with Luke Mardell and Matthew Stevens. To be fair this belt could of gone to any of these candidates. Choosen Ben because of his single minded determination; he is blinkered from time to time with his thoughts and does not listen occasionally but overall he is a terrific exponent of Tae Kwon Do. He will constantly practise techniques; stretch; kick; or even go off in a dark corner somewhere and practise jumping on a bench from a standing start. His over riding comment which has been noted by several Black Belt's... Ben well done on passing your Black Belt. How was it?   To which Ben replied. " Well a bit boring really all we did was syllabus stuff we do in calss and that was that."  Wonder if Ben will actually wear the Student of The Month Belt?

Senior Belt Adult Winner : Clifton Beard 3rd Dan

Clifton overcame quite a nasty injury whilst in the build up for his 3rd Dan Pre Grading. He managed to pass that with a bit of persuasion from students and parents alike encouraging him to go for it. He got to a reasonable state of working function with his Tae Kwon Do; passed the Pre Grade then went on a spree of Tae Kwon Do training and assisting in classes. He is now a proud one of 3 in our school's a 3rd Dan Black Belt. Very proud of you Clifton; keep pushing like I know you will. Might encourage those around you to try and go further. If YOU have got to the bottom of this blurb well done and ask Clifton how his jumping technique went on the pre grading... Great story  :-).. Inspirational; well done.
