Natasha Pettifer has recently joined Ringwood Tae Kwon-Do from another club. Being an existing black belt 2nd dan within the TAGB structure she has obviously a good standard of Tae Kwon Do.
What she has brought to the club in such a short space of time is a sense of aspiration. Her parents Rod and Helen are literally a major 'driving force' behind her. She goes to train at National Squad Training held in Loughborough on Saturday mornings. This is where the National team trains and you can be selected from the students training there. It is a really hard physical training session where you are tested to your maximum. Not for the feint hearted or dare I say the lazy.
Natasha's hunger for competing and winning is infectious within the club as lots of you are wanting to compete and do well at competitions. The club boasts a lot of talent with sparring and patterns. Indeed we have several former students and current students who compete.
Natasha won a Triple Gold Medal at the Scottish Championships held in September and this weekend 3 more Medals.
Golds for Individual Sparring; Patterns and Team Sparring. At this weekends BTC Championships she won 3 more medals 1 Gold for her Team Sparring ! Silver for her Individual Sparring and a Bronze Medal for her pattern.
The Southern competition on the 5th October is fast approaching and we already have several of you who are going to compete and spectate. The deadline for this event is fast approaching so please let me know if you are wanting to take part and support your club. YOU really are good enough. Entries received so far are Ben Coe; Chrissy & Becca Loader. Femi & James Macaulay. Emilie & Andrew Kinnear. Andrew & Imogen Hodges.
Lots of you have made 'noises' about competing; this is your chance....
Well done Natasha for being such an inspiration... See what you are doing. These guys want a slice of the cake too.
